There are original prints and mixed media that represent the more tech savvy personality. These compositions are created from segments of computer hardware and have titles that captures the essence of  the materials and/or process of which they are created from, for example; Netscape and Etched In Time.DSC_0106

If you love bears, I have some wonderful greeting cards, coasters, photographs and photographic books of  Kodiak bear cubs.

Thank you Channel 7 News Station for the great coverage on Wildwood Zoo and Marshfield, Wisconsin.

If you’d like to purchase any of the photographic Kodiak bear books or other merchandise dedicated to Munsey and Boda, please stop in at “iMAGiNETHAT!” Art Studio on July 28,29 and 30th or October 6,7 and 8th.  My art studio is #12 on the NORTHWOODS ART TOUR MAP.     http://www.northwoodsarttour.com.

I spent four hours photographing Munsey and Boda on April 17th.  Munsey’s weight is about 575 pounds and Boda’s weight is about 594 pounds.  On April 17th, 2016 the cubs weights was 230 pounds and in October of 2015 the cubs weights was 120-130 pounds.

Munsey has been  initiating  the wrestling matches over the Winter months , while Boda was moving a bit slower because of the Winter weather.  Munsey favorite way to bother Boda is to pull Boda’s ear.  Now that spring has arrived Munsey and Boda are as active as ever and during their active periods they will usually wrestle with each other about four times during a 60 minute period of time.  One of the best times of day to see these guys in action in the Bear Woods is usually around 9:00 am – 11:00 am.

DSC_0073 You can find them playing tag, having water fights in the Bear Pond and bathing.

Munsey’s favorite water activity is finding a nice size rock and placing it on his nose or forehead and launching it into the air.

The bears should of stopped climbing tree’s about 12 months ago but on March 17th, 2017,  I watched Boda climbing back up one of his favorite trees in the Bear Woods.

There’s something just not right about a 600 pound bear climbing up a tree!  I guess the bears were curious about the sounds of a chain saw that was cutting down one of the large tree’s at Wildwood Zoo that day.  Of-course the bears love the taste of those tender new leaves on the tree but it takes a lot of energy for Munsey and Boda to get their muscular bodies up into the tree’s as well as getting themselves back down to the ground.

You can see the difference in the growth of the cubs since they arrived in October 2015.

On March 17th, 2017, I photographed Munsey climbing this tree trunk and standing on top of the trunk.  The Kodiak cubs never cease to amaze me!

The hot wire that’s been protecting the observation window located in the JP Adler Kodiak Bear Exhibit area have been removed!  About two months ago the hot wire was placed around all the observation windows to prevent Munsey and Boda from licking and eating the sealant placed around the new observation  windows.   Now that a new protective coating has been applied to the original  sealant the cubs are free to interact once again with all Wildwood Zoo guests.

I often wonder what is going through the minds of both the child and the Kodiak cub while they’re  sharing a hug.  This is Munsey sharing a hug with a young Zoo guest early Monday morning around 8:30 am.

The cubs love to interact with the zoo staff while they’re cleaning the glass of the observations windows.

Casandra ( pictured above ) informed me that a few weeks ago Munsey and Boda had found a raccoon in the Bear Woods.  Needless to say, the raccoon turn out to be an additional snack for the cubs that day.

Munsey  and Boda now weigh 400 to 423 pounds. The cubs are now 20 months old and Munsey  weighs in at 400 pounds, while Boda’s weight is 423 pounds. These photographs were taken on Monday October 2nd.

Here are just a few photographs from this past weekends guests participating in the NORTHWOODS ART TOUR.  Thank you to all my guests that stopped in to learn about Intaglio Printmaking.  Thanks to my family members and friends that helped me during the art tour.  Thank you to Sharon Drawz, Allie and Scott Wendlandt and my husband Doug. I couldn’t of opened my art studio and participated in the tour without all of your help!  Thank you from the bottom of heart!  Allie, thank you for taking all of these wonderful photographs of the art studio during my demonstrations and visiting with the our guests.

It’s always fun to watch Munsey and Boda playing in the pond that’s located in the Bear Woods Habitat area.  The best time of day to catch these two splashing around is between  10 am to 12 noon.

I’ve been preparing for the upcoming 2016 NORTHWOODS ART  TOUR which will be held on July 29th,30th and 31st.  The art studio will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each of those days.  At this time I will not be able to take credit cards due to some technical difficulties.

iMAGiNETHAT! Art Studio is listed as #14 on the self guided tour map.  My artwork is very diverse in medium and the subject matter always represents a mixture of the spirited girl from Chicago with a sprinkling of the Wisconsin North Woods life style.

During the art tour I will be demonstrating printmaking on my Intaglio Printing Press  and I look forward to answering any of your questions in regards to my original prints as well as the background stories behind the creations of my charcoal drawings, collages, assemblages and photography.

I hope you’ll stop in and explore the unique artwork at iMAGiNETHAT! Art Studio located five miles north of Woodruff  and 1.2 miles north of Lakeland Airport ,  just off of North Farming Road, first driveway on Bayer Lake Road.
